We are Sally and Rex from Sheffield, Tasmania. We moved here about five an a half years ago from Tamworth, NSW where we first met in an old folks home (true story!) We both worked in a variety of jobs ranging from retail and service industries right through to our last gig as dairy farmers. Eventually we knew that a complete change was necessary in our lives so we packed everything up including the dog and moved to Tasmania. Over the past 5 years  we have established a successful accommodation business,  including building a Geodesic Dome in our beautiful garden and a very popular self contained house known as Roland’s Feet Retreat.  So we have now decided to take a break and have employed a wonderful couple, Roger and Cecilia, as house sitter/managers to keep the business running in our absence while we embark on a once in a life time journey, while we can, on a motorbike around various parts of the world.

So starting 20th February 2023 we will be taking the plunge firstly in South America and then later in Mongolia.  In South America we will travel mostly by motorcycle, but also by sail boat, canoe and a variety of planes, trains and automobiles along the length and breadth of the continent. In Mongolia we will firstly be travelling by motorcycles for 8 days then a full day on horseback to a remote village of reindeer herders  where we will spend a few days living and working with them.
