Leavin’ on a Jet Plane!
In a couple of weeks we board a LATAM Airlines flight in Sydney, Australia and after a brief stopover in Auckland and 14 hours of flying time we arrive two hours later in Santiago, Chile!? We have a few days of R & R, including a little retail therapy for Sally and some sight seeing, before meeting up with the rest of our small group of mostly Aussies, a couple of Americans and perhaps the odd Brit or two plus our two fabulous local guides, JC and Juan. We then collect our bike from the port of Valparaiso where it was sent months ago (see “Bye Bye Tiger” post coming soon). The plan is then to head south, more south than you can go anywhere in the world by road.
