The Map!

Seven Days to GO!

The map above is a rough outline of our intended route starting in Santiago, Chile and finishing 100 days later on the Caribbean Coast at Cartagena, Colombia. South America is big, bloody big. From our southern most point at Ushuaia to Cartagena is about the same as Sydney to Perth and back again….and then back to Adelaide! From the east in Rio de Janeiro to the west in Guayaquil, Ecuador is over 6000 km and from sea level we will climb to over 4500m at the highest point. That’s more than 2 Mt Kosciusko’s piled on top of each other. Damn! We’re both scared of heights  lol.

We are still trying to sort out the subscribe button and a couple other minor glitches in the blog program we are using. We have a very capable friend working on it and will be all good to go soon.
